Cy Leo

Cy Leo (Ho Cheuk-yin)  is a harmonica virtuoso and 17-time international harmonica champion including 2 times solo world champion. He speaks fluent English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

 He began his classical harmonica training at the age of six under Lee Sheung-ching and Watani Yasuo, and his talent in the harmonica has given him widespread international recognition and success ever since.

​

Under the influence of his father, Ho Pak-cheong, founder of the Hong Kong Harmonica Association and King’s Harmonica Quintet, CY Leo began a brilliant career in music and won his first international award as a harmonica soloist at the age of ten at the Asia-Pacific Harmonica Festival.  By the age of 19, he had garnered 17 international titles, including Solo World Champion twice at the World Harmonica Festival 2009 and 2013.  He has also appeared as guest performer, instructor and adjudicator at the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Seoul International Harmonica Festival, Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival, Swiss Harpers Gala Concert and Norwegian Harmonica Festival.  In addition, he was invited to compose the test piece for the Solo Chromatic Category in the World Harmonica Festival 2017.

 

He is "Asia’s Most Famous Harmonica Virtuoso."
